- No account is needed to use this app. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.
- We ask only for what an inspection needs: your name, contact details, the property address, and what you want inspected.
- The checklist tool saves your work on your own device, not on our servers. We do not sell your information, and the app runs no advertising or tracking.
Who we are
Home Check Systems provides home inspection services and the inspection tools in this app (whatsinspected.com). We are the party responsible for the information described here.
Information we collect
The app is free, requires no account, and does not process payments. It contains no advertising.
Inspection requests
- Your name, email address, phone number, the property address to be inspected, your preferred date, the services you select, the urgency you choose, and any message you write.
- Each request is emailed to our office and kept as a booking record so we can prepare for and follow up on the inspection.
Contact messages
- The name, email address, phone number and message you enter in the contact form. This is delivered to our office inbox by email and is not saved in the app's database.
Inspection checklists
- The property address, property type, agent name and client name you enter, plus the items you check, the condition you mark and any notes you write.
- All of this stays in your browser's local storage on the device you used. It is not sent to us, not saved on a server, and we cannot see it.
Technical information
- Our hosting platform records the standard server data needed to run, secure and troubleshoot the app: IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps and error diagnostics.
- The app sets one cookie that remembers whether the side menu is open. It sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
- The app includes no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services.
How we use your information
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making, and we do not use your inspection requests to send you marketing.
- To schedule, prepare for and carry out the inspections you request, and to contact you about them.
- To answer messages you send through the contact form or by email or phone.
- To keep the app secure, prevent abuse and diagnose technical problems.
- To meet our legal, tax and insurance record-keeping obligations.
Who receives your information
We do not sell or rent your information, and we share it with no advertising networks, data brokers or social media trackers.
- Base44, the platform that hosts the app and provides its database and email delivery.
- Google, for our office inbox (hcs.naples@gmail.com), which receives inspection requests and contact messages.
- Authorities or other parties, only where the law requires it or where it is necessary to protect our legal rights.
How long we keep it
- Inspection requests: for as long as we are providing or supporting the inspection, then deleted when no longer needed.
- Messages we received through the contact form or by email: kept in our office mailbox until they are no longer needed, then deleted.
- Checklists: on your own device only, until you start a new checklist or clear this site's data in your browser. We never hold a copy.
- Server and error logs: kept by our hosting platform for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then discarded.
- Records we must keep for legal, tax or insurance purposes, for as long as the law requires.
- Deletions may take a short time to clear from the platform's backups.
Deleting your information
There is no account to delete. The checklist you build in the app lives on your own device: choosing New Checklist, or clearing this site's data in your browser, removes it completely.
If you sent an inspection request or a message and want it removed, contact us using the details below. We will delete it unless we are required to keep it for legal, tax or insurance records.
Security
The app has no accounts and no passwords, so there are no sign-in credentials to protect. Information you submit is sent over an encrypted connection to our hosting platform, and only our office can read the requests and messages it stores. Your checklist never leaves your browser.
Children
The app is for adults arranging property inspections. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
- You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- You can clear your saved checklist at any time inside the app, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
- You can call us instead of using any form in the app, and we will take the details over the phone.
Changes to this policy
If what the app does changes, we will update this page and the date shown at the top.
